Lincoln Plaza is a mixed residential and commercial building marking the northwest corner of the Leather District, on the corner of Essex and Lincoln Street. There are 80 residential condominiums located within two connected building (the Essex building and the Lincoln building), with five commercial units on the ground floor.

The Lincoln building is six floors in the Renaissance Revival mercantile style designed by noted architect Willard T. Sears and built in 1894. The Essex building is eight floors in the Classical Revival style with Beaux-Arts influences. It was built in 1899 and designed by the architects Walter T. Winslow, George H. Wetherell, and Henry Forbes Bigelow. Lincoln Plaza is considered a historical building by the National Historical Society. It was built in 1894 as a shoe manufacturing enterprise at the dawn of the Leather District.

Both buildings share a private common courtyard. Lincoln Plaza was fully renovated in 2006, with state-of-the-art utilities, central HVAC, and very high “loft” ceilings.

Lincoln Plaza is within walking distance to the Red Line, Silver Line (to Roxbury and Logan Airport), and Orange Line, and two blocks from the Blue Line and Green Line. It is less than a minute walk from Amtrak and commuter rail trains and buses at South Station.

Both the Massachusetts Turnpike and Route 93 North and South are accessible from ramps not more than a quarter mile away. Also, several Zip Cars are available for rent directly across Lincoln Street.

The building has a full-time superintendent and there is a courtyard which can be reserved for private functions by residents. Each unit comes with a storage unit in the basement and there is a bike room in the basement. The Essex building has an elevator, and the Lincoln building has 2 elevators.

The only available parking is across the street or in the neighborhood, for rent.
