Very overpriced for what they offer. Not the same quality as other luxury buildings. Complaints about water leakage and poor craftsmanship are issues.Several owners are looking to bail , but will need to take huge losses as only a handfull of units are occupied.

If you look at the market history of The InterContinental then you would see that owners are not trying to bail. Quite the opposite. In speaking with several owners I have learned that the never want to leave and very much enjoy all The InterContinental has to offer.
I do agree that prices are high, but one must also consider everything that comes with ownership. Unlike a typical condo – when a buyer invests in such a full service building or condotle then have all the luxuries of a hotel at their fingertips.
If I decided to purchase a 1bed unit in a Brownstone, sure I may get a bit more space for my money but I am not going to have valet service (or even a parking space in many instances), room service options, discount travel packages, 5-star restaurant on the first floor, beautiful water views, etc.
