New apartments planned for Back Bay / Berklee School of Music neighborhood
May 2011 12

A proposal to build a mixed-use project over the Massachusetts Turnpike in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood has moved one step closer to becoming a reality.

Banker & Tradesman is reporting that Trinity Financial has already met with the Massachusetts’ Department of Transportation and presented its plans for a 192-student dormitory to house Boston Architectural College undergrads. Also included in the complex would be as much as 14,000 square feet of space for the BAC and 11,000 square feet of retail space. There would be 104 market-rate apartments.

The Banker & Tradesman website has an artist’s rendering of the building as proposed.

The next step is for the developer to meet with city of Boston officials.
